Government

The Village of Mettawa is governed by a Mayor and a six member Board of Trustees. All are elected for four-year, staggered terms and the trustees and Mayor serve without pay. The Board is the legislative body of the Village government. All administrative work is performed under the direction of several Board Committees appointed by the Mayor.

Village Board meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month.

All meetings are open to the public and community members are invited to attend and participate.
