Real Estate Transactions
Real Estate transactions are completed at the Village office located in the Extra Space Facility located at 700 E Park Avenue in Libertyville.

A real estate transfer stamp is required for a new property acquisition. The Grantee (buyer) is responsible for obtaining the real estate stamp from the village.

Quit Claim Deeds can be completed at no cost to the resident. To complete this transaction, I will need the original Quit Claim Deed to place the village stamp. Lake County Recorder of Deeds office does not accept copies.
You can schedule an appointment to complete this transaction. You can also mail the original Quit Claim Deed along with the Real Estate Declaration form. Please include a return envelope.
A Warranty Deed can be completed at no cost to the resident. Your visit will need to include the original Warranty Deed to place the village stamp. Lake County Recorder of Deeds office does not accept copies of the warranty deed.
You can schedule an appointment to stop by the village hall to complete this transaction. You can also mail your original Warranty Deed along with the Real Estate Tax Declaration original forms. Please include a return envelope.
