NOTICE OF HEARING

BEFORE THE PLAN COMMISSION

VILLAGE OF METTAWA, ILLINOIS

Notice is given hereby that the Plan Commission of the Village of Mettawa will conduct a public hearing under Case No. 09-SU-3 at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 7, 2009, in the Cottonwood Room of the Hilton Garden Inn, 26225 N. Riverwoods Boulevard, Mettawa, Illinois, regarding the application of Springfield Stables Properties, LLC (the “Applicant”). The Applicant seeks approval of an amendment to a special use permit granted by the adoption of Ordinance No. 425, which permitted a larges stable consisting of several, specified buildings and allowing not more than 70 horse stalls on the property located in Mettawa, Illinois and commonly known as 855 Bradley Road (the “Subject Property”). The Subject Property is zoned for such uses and lies within the R-1 Single-Family Residence District. The amendment sought would allow an additional building to be located upon the Subject Property, which is proposed to enclose a horse exerciser machine.

The Subject Property is legally described as:

LOT 1 IN METTAWA FIELDS, A SUBDIVISION OF PART OF THE SOUTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 25, AND LOTS 5, 6 AND 7 IN MELODY WOODS, A SUBDIVISION OF PART OF SECTION 25, ALL IN TOWNSHIP 44 NORTH, RANGE 11, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED MAY 21, 2008, AS DOCUMENT 6349318, IN LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS. PINS: 11-25-300-001 AND 11-25-301-001.

The Applicant is represented by Bradley Rosen, Esq., Senior Managing Director and General Counsel, Redleaf Management Company, LLC, 615 N. Wabash Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611. All persons in attendance at the hearing shall have an opportunity to be heard. Any person who also wishes to appear as an objector or supporter with the right to present evidence and/or cross-examine witnesses at the hearing must file an appearance with the Village at the hearing or by mail arriving before the date of the hearing c/o the Village Clerk, at 26225 N. Riverwoods Boulevard, Box M, Mettawa, Illinois 60045.
